The Gulf Western Modular Railroad Society had this impressive HO scale intermodal terminal on display at the 2011 National Train Show in Sacramento, Calif.

Check out some snapshots of the 2011 National Train Show, including some of the great model train layout displays, in this week's Cody's Office. Amtrak trains in the 70s and 80s transition era often consisted of amfleet and heritage cars. Occasionally, a car still not repainted into the Amtrak sceme would show up. Markus, you might make up a train with Heritage and Amfleet cars with one (or maybe two) still in original paint (like Great Northern or Northern Pacific).

In responce to Markus's question, Amtrak took delivery to it's Amfleet 1 cars in 1975, and was still using "heritage" equipment into the 80's untill it was retired.

Also, another great video! I really wish there was such a convention closer to where I live.
