ExactRail announced that its next model will be a Thrall 63-foot “opera window” center-beam bulkhead flatcar. The HO scale model, scheduled for release in late 2012, will be decorated for Burlington Northern, Burlington Northern Santa Fe, Milwaukee Road (two paint schemes), Union Pacific, and Western Pacific.
The ready-to-run car is part of ExactRail’s Platinum series. The car will feature etched-brass and plastic construction, individually tooled ratchets, and wire uncoupling levers. In addition, the model will have 100-ton trucks, 36” metal wheelsets, and Kadee no. 58 knuckle couplers. The model has a suggested retail price of $64.95.
